Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE)

Sometimes in life we get lucky to work with great people on a great project that really makes you feel alive !
Well, myself and the QED training team were lucky to work with the participants of the IBYE competition last year in 2014 and thrilled to be again working closely with the participants in this years 2015 IBYE competition.

The IBYE competition was open to people aged between 18-30 across 3 categories:

  • Best Idea (not yet trading)
  • Best Start Up (trading for 24 months or less)
  • Best Established Business (trading for more than 24 months)

There are also some amazing reasons to enter and participate in the competition – not least – the prize fund !!

There is a €2 Million Investment Fund and targeted business supports on offer to help participants turn their business ideas into reality.
€50,000 Investment Fund available from each Local Enterprise Office to invest in the 3 Category Winners
€100,000 Investment Fund available for the overall National Category Winners

The QED training team worked with some of the County Finalists where we delivered a specialised Entrepreneur Bootcamp to help develop the skills required to take an entrepreneurial idea from concept stage to reality and to build a viable business plan to commercialise the opportunity.

We look forward to the finals in the next couple of weeks and seeing the crowning of the winner of IBYE 2015
